Door Armor Combo Sets can be customized according to your security needs and installation preferences. Each kit includes 1 Jamb Shield and 2 Door Shields (of your choosing). Enhancing the kit with Hinge Protection and Prying Protection boosts the level of security it offers.
Each set includes 17 3.5-inch painted Torx head screws and 4 2.5-inch painted Torx head screws with self-tapping tips, along with one Torx drill bit and instructions.
Door Armor Jamb Shield is 46 inches long. It attaches to the lock side of the door frame. The Jamb Shield has holes that fit locks spaced from 4.5 to 21.5 inches apart. Every Door Armor Kit includes one.
Hinge Shields: Hinge Shields attach over the hinges and are extremely effective if someone attempts to kick the door on the hinge side. The hinge shield set takes about 10 minutes to install (4 screws for 2 Hinge Shields and 2 screws in the top hinge).
Who should opt for Hinge Shields? If you want maximum security, purchase Hinge Shields, it is that simple. With that said, the "No Hinge Shield" option comes with extra screws for the hinges so, if money or installation time is a concern, you can opt for the "No Hinge Shield" option and know that your door will still be stronger than anything else on the market. We often recommend the "No Hinge Shield" option for multi-family customers or customers securing large numbers of doors.
Door Shields: Crucial to prevent the door from splitting when kicked. Door Shields come in 2 styles, MINI and PRO. Both are equally effective against kicking. The difference is in the way the Door Shields attach to the door.
MINI Door Shields are installed on the edge of the door and can be installed in about 5 minutes (or however long it takes to drive 4 screws).
PRO Door Shields are installed through the door and take about 10 minutes to install, a drill is required as you must drill through the door, in order to connect the 2 PRO Door Shield pieces. Pro Door Shields are also designed to interlock with the Pry Shields so they provide the maximum possible defense against prying, when matched with a Pry Shield.
If you can fit 2 quarters between your door and door frame when closed (see below), most customers will opt for the MINI door shields, because they are easier to install, they cost less and they are less visible on the door. If you're uncertain about your door clear, it's imperative to opt for a PRO kit. PRO Kits include both PRO and MINI Door Shields, allowing you to choose during installation. Note: Only One Door Shield type should be installed on your door. The PRO Set comes with both door shield types but only one should be installed on your door.
Pry Shield: The Pry Shield helps stop your door from being pried open. Once thieves realize they cannot kick-in a door, they often resort to prying the door open. The Pry Shield comes with 3 tamper-proof screws and takes about 5 minutes to install.
Who should opt for a Pry Shield? Anyone wanting maximum security. We often recommend Pry Shields for our multi-family and investor customers. We also recommend purchasing a Pry Shield if your home has already been broken into.

2 Quarters...
You MUST Purchase PRO Door Shields If:
If you can fit 2 quarters between your door and door frame you will have no problem installing any Door Armor kit on your door. If you cannot fit 2 quarters, or if you are not sure you MUST purchase one of our PRO Door Armor solutions, which require the space of less than 1 quarter. PRO Door Armor kits also come with MINI Door Shields.
Why Has Door Armor Become the Standard?
Door Armor can also fix damage from a previous break-in. Stats say a home that's been burglarized before is 4 times more likely to be burglarized again.
Police Tested and Recommended
